RYOKO SUZUKI (nee NAKAMURA) April 22, 1930 - March 10, 2010 Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Grace Hospital. Predeceased by her parents, Ichiro and Asa Nakamura; brother Ryosuke; sisters, Sonoko, Masae and Toyoko. Survived by her husband of 53 years, Toru; daughter Kathleen (Wayne Puznicki), son Edward (Joelle) and daughter Evelyn; grandchildren, Avery, Jayden and Jessica. Fondly remembered by her brother Hiroshi, brother-in-law Kaoru (Dorothy), sister-in-law Yoshiko and many relatives in Canada, USA and Japan. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Manitoba Buddhist Temple, 825 Winnipeg Avenue. Interment will take place on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
